Fabrice Herzog
Fabrice Herzog (born 9 December 1994) is a Swiss professional ice hockey forward currently playing for EV Zug in the National League (NL). He was drafted 142nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career As a youth, Herzog played local team Pikes EHC Oberthurgau before joining the junior program of EV Zug. In his second season of Elite Junior A, Herzog made his professional debut with EV Zug in the 2012–13 season, appearing in 20 games for 4 points. After his selection to the Maple Leafs in the off-season, Herzog opted to play major junior hockey in North America in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League after he was selected 42nd overall in the 2013 CHL Import Draft by the Québec Remparts. Herzog adapted quickly with the Remparts and was amongst the team's top scorers with 58 points in 61 games. Frauenfeld
Frauenfeld (Alemannic: ''Frauefäld'') is the capital of the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. The official language of Frauenfeld is (the Swiss variety of Standard) German, but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect. History Early history The earliest traces of human settlement are several La Tène era graves to the east of Langdorf. The Roman road from Oberwinterthur (''Vitudurum'') to Pfyn ran through what is now the ''Allmend'' in Frauenfeld. Two Roman villas were discovered in Thalbach and Oberkirch. The villa seems to have become the focal point of the later settlement of Oberkirch. On the ruins of the villa, an Early Middle Ages cemetery was built, and by the 9th century, the Oberkirch church was built. The 2017 IIHF World Championship, the 2017 edition of the annual Ice Hockey World Championships, was held from 5 to 21 May 2017 in Cologne, Germany and Paris, France. The official tournament mascots were Asterix and Obelix, the main characters from popular French comic book series ''The Adventures of Asterix''. 2012 IIHF World U18 Championships
The 2012 IIHF U18 World Championship was the 14th IIHF World U18 Championship and was hosted in Brno, Znojmo and Břeclav, Czech Republic. It began on 12 April 2012 with the gold medal game played on 22 April 2012. Brno and Znojmo were originally to co-host, but a schedule change became necessary when Kometa Brno unexpectedly advanced to the Czech Extraliga finals, making their home ice unavailable to the tournament on three days. Switzerland Men's National Junior Ice Hockey Team
The Switzerland men's national under 20 ice hockey team is the national under-20 ice hockey team of Switzerland. The team is controlled by the Schweizerischer Eishockeyverband, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. History Switzerland played its first game in 1977 against the Soviet Union during the 1978 IIHF World U20 Championship. Switzerland lost the game 1–18 and finished last in the tournament and were relegated to the Pool B tournament for the following year.
