Fabio Mian
Fabio Mian (born February 7, 1992) is an Italian professional basketball player for Scafati Basket of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A. Professional career He played for two seasons, from 2018 to 2020 for Aquila Trento. Mian signed with Cremona on August 4, 2020, after having played with the team from 2014 to 2017. He ended the 2020–21 season with APU Udine for a short end of the season experience in the Serie A2, second tier Italian national league. Mian, on June 30, 2021, returned in the Serie A signing a two years contract with Pallacanestro Trieste. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. Names History The league was created in May 1974, by the Lega Basket, the organisation in charge of running the LBA (to this day), that decided to create a new second division with 10 clubs. The two that were relegated during that season, and 8 from the now-former second tier Serie B, chosen with an on and off the court criteria. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The LBA plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 16 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the Serie A2 and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier.
