The 2014 Friends Life Women's Tour was the inaugural edition of The Women's Tour, a stage race held in Great Britain, with a Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI rating of 2.1. It was the ninth stage race of the 2014 in women's road cycling, 2014 Women's Elite cycling calendar. It is the only race in Great Britain, apart from the National Championships, on this calendar. The is an annual professional road bicycle racing Classic cycle races, classic one-day race held in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It was first started in 1989 as an amateur race, but became professional in 1999. It became part of the UCI Asia Tour in 2005. Until 2007, it was a one-day race, billing itself as the longest single-day course in Japan, but was transformed into a two-day stage race in 2008, its Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI category changing from 1.2 to 2.2. The Emakumeen Euskal Bira was a women's cycling race held in the Basque Country, Spain. It was held annually from 1988 to 2019, starting out as a two-stage race and building up to five stages in 2007. One of these stages was always a double stage. It was rated a 2.1 category race from 2005 to 2017 and a 2.WWT event in 2018 and 2019.
