Fabian Lenz
Fabian Lenz is a German DJ, Techno musician and events producer, who was also known before under the moniker DJ Dick. Life and career Lenz has three siblings. His brother is Maximilian Lenz alias DJ WestBam. His sister Seraphina Lenz is an artist. Lenz has been working as a DJ since 1984. In 1985 he founded the record label Low Spirit together with his brother Maximilian Lenz, producer Klaus Jankuhn, Sandra Molzahn and William Röttger. One of the most important acts on the label has been Marusha, which was in a relationship with Lenz at that time. In 1988 Lenz released a few singles and EPs on Low Spirit, most of which have been produced together with Klaus Jankuhn. Lenz also remixed tracks by Raver’s Nature (''Somebody Scream'', 1996) and Genlog (''More Music'', 1998). Loveparade
The Love Parade (german: Loveparade) was a popular electronic dance music festival and technoparade that originated in 1989 in West Berlin, Germany. It was held annually in Berlin from 1989 to 2003 and in 2006, then from 2007 to 2010 in the Ruhr region. Events scheduled for 2004 and 2005 in Berlin and for 2009 in Bochum were canceled. On 24 July 2010, a crowd crush at the Love Parade in Duisburg caused the deaths of 21 people, with at least 500 others injured. As a consequence, the organizer of the festival announced that no further Love Parades would be held and that the festival was permanently canceled. Hyper Hyper
"Hyper Hyper" is a song by German band Scooter, released in May 1994 as the first single from their debut album, '' ... and the Beat Goes On!'' (1995). It was sold in three versions: two of the versions had the same track listings, but different covers. The song was one of the most successful dance hits of 1994. The original "Hyper Hyper" quotes were taken from Ultra-Sonic's 1993 track "Annihilating Rhythm (Do you love your hardcore?)", licensed to Low Spirit Records/Polydor. Ultra-Sonic receive a " big shout" in the lyrics of the song, as do a further thirty DJs who were popular in Germany in the mid-1990s. Critical reception Pan-European magazine ''Music & Media'' wrote, "In the wake of massive successes by DJs-turned-performers such as Marusha, Sven Väth, Westbam and Jam & Spoon, a new star is born. Scooter is a German happy hardcore, rave and techno music band founded in Hamburg in 1993. To date, the band has sold over 30 million records and earned over 80 Gold and Platinum awards. Tresor (club)
Tresor (German for safe or vault) is an underground techno nightclub in Berlin and a record label. History The club was founded in March 1991 in the vaults of the former department store Wertheim at Leipziger Strasse 126-128 in Mitte, the central part of East Berlin, next to the Potsdamer Platz. The history of the club goes back to 1988 when the electronic music label Interfisch opened the ''Ufo Club'' in Berlin. Ufo was the original centre of Berlin house and techno, but due to financial problems that club closed in 1990. After Ufo closed, Interfisch's head, Dimitri Hegemann, and some investors in the club found the new space in East Berlin. This was advantageous timing, as it was only a few months before Germany unified. The vaults under the Wertheim department store proved to be the perfect location for a club, and Tresor quickly became the place to be in Berlin. Dietmar-Maria "Dimitri" Hegemann (born August 26, 1954) is a German nightclub owner, cultural activist and community organizer, currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. Early life and career Dimitri Hegemann was born in Werl of Westfalia, West Germany on August 26, 1954. He moved to be part of the developing art, music and social scenes in West Berlin and began studying musicology in Münster, and after relocation, at the Free University Berlin in 1978. He played the bass in the locally known band "Leningrad Sandwich".
