FXCollaborative is an American architecture, planning, and interior design firm founded in 1978 by Robert F. Fox Jr. and Bruce S. Fowle as Fox & Fowle Architects. The firm merged with Jambhekar Strauss in 2000 and was renamed to FXFOWLE Architects in 2005 following Fox's departure. The firm was renamed to FXCollaborative on January 18, 2018. The firm is best known for projects in New York City including the Condé Nast Building, Reuters Building (3 Times Square), Eleven Times Square, renovation of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, and the Statue of Liberty Museum. Daniel J. Kaplan (born January 30, 1961) popularly known as Dan Kaplan is an American architect based in New York City as Senior Partner at FXCollaborative. Reuters Building
3 Times Square, also known as the Thomson Reuters Building, is a 30-story skyscraper at Times Square in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Located on Seventh Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Street, the building measures to its roof and to its spire. The building was designed by Fox & Fowle and developed by Rudin Management for news-media company Reuters. The site is owned by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, though Rudin and Reuters have a long-term leasehold on the building. Fox & Fowle planned a portion of the facade as a glass curtain wall, though the northeast corner and the south facade are made of masonry. The eastern facade has a curving curtain wall with a wedge atop the southeast corner, as well as a triple-height lobby facing Seventh Avenue. Bruce Fowle
Bruce Fowle is an American architect. He co-founded Fox & Fowle Architects in 1978 and is now Founding Principal Emeritus at FXCollaborative. Fowle's work ranges from high-rise, multi-use complexes to cultural institutions and private homes. Fowle has earned the firm a number of major awards, including a 2001 National Honor Award for Design, the highest honor that the American Institute of Architects bestows on a project, for 4 Times Square. He is also known for his work on Manhattan's Second Avenue Subway, the Reuters Building (3 Times Square), The New York Times Building, and the renovation and expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. One Willoughby Square
One Willoughby Square (originally 420 Albee Square), styled as 1WSQ, is an office building under construction in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The building is being developed by JEMB Realty, and current plans have been drafted by FXCollaborative. History The developer purchased the main site at 420 Albee Square for $38.5 million in 2014 and bought the rest of the development area from the New York City government for $18.3 million in 2017. The Girard family had owned it for years and operated the site as a parking lot. The developers also purchased of development rights from the neighboring 217 Duffield Street, in exchange for financing a park on the site. In September 2014, the developers filed plans for a 65-story, tall mixed-use tower named 420 Albee Square, designed by SLCE Architects. Condé Nast Building
4 Times Square (also known as 151 West 42nd Street or One Five One; formerly the Condé Nast Building) is a 52-story skyscraper at Times Square in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Located at 1472 Broadway (Manhattan), Broadway, between 42nd Street (Manhattan), 42nd and 43rd Streets, the building measures tall to its roof and tall to its antenna. The building was designed by FXCollaborative, Fox & Fowle and developed by the Durst Organization. 4 Times Square, and the Bank of America Tower (Manhattan), Bank of America Tower to the east, occupy an entire city block. The Statue of Liberty Museum is located on Liberty Island in New York City. The museum opened on May 16, 2019, and is focused on the creation, meaning, and history of the Statue of Liberty (formally ''Liberty Enlightening the World''), a large statue by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi which the people of France gave to the people of the United States in 1886. Exhibits The original torch, carried by ''Liberty'' from 1886 to 1984, is located in the museum. Alice Tully Hall
Alice Tully Hall is a concert hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. The hall is named for Alice Tully, a New York performer and philanthropist whose donations assisted in the construction of the hall. Renzo Piano (; born 14 September 1937) is an Italian architect.
