It is owned 51% by Nurol Holding of Turkey and 49% by British–American firm BAE Systems Inc., and operates facilities located in Gölbaşı, Ankara. FNSS was founded as a joint venture between FMC Corporation and Nurol Holding as FMC Nurol Savunma Sanayii A.Ş. ACV-15
ACV-15 is the designation of an amphibious Infantry fighting vehicle family developed by the Turkish defense company FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. This vehicle is also manufactured by DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies (DefTech). The design is an attempt to combine the capabilities of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and an armoured personnel carrier (APC). The ACV-15 is based on the American Advanced Infantry Fighting Vehicle, which in turn is based on the American M113A1 armored personnel carrier. History FNSS developed the ACV-15 based on the AIFV to meet the Turkish Land Forces Command's (TLFC's) operational requirement. The first production vehicles were delivered in 1992. ACV-30 is the designation of an armored combat vehicle developed by the Turkish defense company FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. The vehicle has been selected as an Air Defence System platform by the Turkish Armed Forces within the scope of the Korkut SPAAG and HISAR surface to air missile system projects. The ACV-19 is an infantry fighting vehicle currently offered by FNSS Defence Systems of Turkey. The vehicle was previously known as the Armoured Combat Vehicle — Stretched. The ACV-19 is a further development of the ACV-15, which is developed from the M113 series of armoured personnel carriers built by United Defense of the United States. The vehicle is in service with Turkey and has obtained export orders from Jordan, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates. Development The two prototypes were completed in 1998 and 2000. Description The ACV-S retains the basic shape of the M113, although it is actually derived from the ACV-300, an infantry fighting vehicle derived itself from the M113. Gölbaşı, Ankara
Gölbaşı is a town and district of the Ankara Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, south of the city of Ankara. Eryx (missile)
Eryx is a French short-range portable semi-automatic command to line of sight (SACLOS) based wire-guided missile, wire-guided anti-tank guided missile, anti-tank missile (ATGM) manufactured by MBDA France and by MKEK under licence. The weapon can also be used against larger bunkers and smaller pillboxes. It also has some anti-aircraft warfare ability, to bring down low flying helicopters, due to its wire-guidance system. An agreement was reached in 1989 between the French and Canadian governments to coproduce the Eryx missile system.
