Kakunodate, Akita
is a town located in Senboku District, Akita Prefecture, Japan. In 2003, the town had an estimated population of 14,138 and a density of 90.26 persons per km². The total area was 156.63 km². On September 20, 2005, Kakunodate, along with the town of Tazawako, and the village of Nishiki (all from Senboku District), was merged to create the city of Semboku. is a TV station affiliated with Fuji News Network (FNN) and Fuji Network System (FNS) in Akita, Akita, Japan. History In 1967, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (currently the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) announced that it would open UHF bands for television use, and in October of the same year, it was decided that 18 UHF stations would be allowed to open, but there was no quota for the Tohoku region. The Ministry of Posts requested the then Governor of Akita Prefecture Isajiro Obata to consolidate the license applications.
