Makedonski Brod ( mk, Македонски Брод ; meaning "Macedonian Ford") is a small town in the central part of North Macedonia, on the south-eastern part of Suva Gora, western Karadžica and south-western Dautica mountains. The town is the seat of Makedonski Brod Municipality. Geography Makedonski Brod is one of the smallest towns in North Macedonia. It is located in the region of Poreče and is the centre of the region. The town lies on the banks of the upper region of the river Treska. History In the location of the present-day town, there was a bridge that connected the towns of Prilep and Kičevo, which gave the name of the town. The Macedonian Third League ( mk, Македонска Трета Лига - Makedonska Treta Liga) is the third highest football competition in North Macedonia. In 2019–20, the competition will be divided into five divisions named Third League - North (Трета Лига - Север), Third League - Center (Трета Лига - Центар), Third League - Southeast (Трета Лига - Југоисток), Third League - West (Трета Лига - Запад) and Third League - Southwest (Трета Лига-Југозапад). At the end of the season, the winners of the North, West and Southwest divisions will be play in a play-off for promotion to the Macedonian Second League, while the winners of Center and Southeast divisions will be directly promoted to the Second League.
