Danielle Scott-Arruda
Danielle Racquel Scott-Arruda (born October 1, 1972) is an American-Brazilian indoor volleyball player. She has played at the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and the 2012 Summer Olympics, breaking a U.S. female volleyball athlete record for Olympic appearances. She's currently playing professionally for Brazilian league Banana Boat/Praia Clube. Scott-Arruda carried the flag for her native country at the opening ceremony of the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. High school and personal life Scott-Arruda was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and attended Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, where she was an All-State performer in volleyball and basketball. Heather Bown
Heather Erin Bown (born November 29, 1978) is a retired volleyball player from the United States, who played as a middle-blocker. She represented her native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. There she finished in fifth place with the USA national team. She also competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Bown made her third straight Olympic appearance in Beijing, helping Team USA to a silver medal. Early life and education Bown was born in Orange, California, and calls Yorba Linda, California home. She graduated from Esperanza High School in Anaheim where she was a three-year letterwinner. She was named all-CIF twice and played club volleyball for NIKE Ichiban that won the Junior Olympics in 1996. Elena Tyurina-Batukhtina (born 12 April 1971 in Sverdlovsk) is a retired female volleyball player from Russia who made her debut for the Soviet national team in 1989. Zoila Barros Fernández (born 6 August 1979) is a retired Cuban female volleyball player who played as a middle blocker. She played for the Cuban women's national volleyball team, and helped the team win a gold medal in the 2000 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics. Yelizaveta Tishchenko (born 7 February 1975 in Kiev, last name also spelled Tichtchenko) is a retired female volleyball player from Russia, who made her debut for the Soviet national team in 1991. Logan Maile Lei Tom (born May 25, 1981) was an American indoor volleyball, beach volleyball player, and is current head coach of the Israel women's national volleyball team. Tara Cross-Battle (born September 16, 1968 in Houston, Texas) is a retired volleyball player from the United States, who won the bronze medal with the USA National Women's Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She played NCAA women's volleyball for California State University, Long Beach, where she helped lead her team to the 1989 NCAA Championship title. Robyn Mokihana Ah Mow (born September 15, 1975) is the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team and a former American indoor volleyball player. She was a setter on the USA national team and played at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal.
