Lahti
Lahti (; sv, Lahtis) is a city and municipality in Finland. It is the capital of the region of Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme) and its growing region is one of the main economic hubs of Finland. Alex Harvey (skier)
Alex Harvey (; born 7 September 1988) is a retired Canadian cross-country skier who competed between 2005 and 2019. Harvey is also a member of the Quebec Provincial Cycling Team. Career In 2008 Harvey finished third both in the (Team sprint: Whistler Olympic Park, and the 50 km: Trondheim). He also competed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, finishing fifth in the 4 x 10 km, 22nd in the 15 km + 15 km double pursuit, 28th in the individual sprint, and 36th in the 15 km events. In the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Harvey finished fourth in the team sprint with teammate Devon Kershaw. This is the best placing ever for Canadian men in an Olympic cross-country competition. Teodor Anders Peterson (born 1 May 1988 in Umeå) is a Swedish former cross-country skier that had sprint as his best discipline. Career He debuted in the World Cup on 7 March 2009 in Lahti in the 2008–09 season. Peterson made his breakthrough in the 2011–12 season. He won the first sprint race of the season, on 25 November 2011 in Ruka, Finland. The weekend after, in Düsseldorf, he won the team sprint together with Jesper Modin, representing Sweden. Peterson won his first individual World Cup victory on 2 February 2012 in Moscow. Peterson also won the overall sprint world cup 2011/2012. Andrew Young (skier)
Andrew "Andy" Young (born 12 February 1992) is a Scottish cross-country skier. He competed for Great Britain in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, finishing in 74th place in the 15km freestyle. In 2008, he became the youngest skier to compete in a World Cup event. At the 2010 Games, Young finished 14th in the team sprint event and 60th in the individual sprint event. For the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009, he finished 14th in the 4 × 10 km relay and 98th in the individual sprint event. Young also competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics, where he finished 37th in the 15km classical competition. Andrew "Andy" Newell (born November 30, 1983) is an American former cross-country skier. He began competing on international level in 2001 and debuted in the World Cup in the 2003–04 season. In 2020 Newell launched is online coaching platform Nordic Team Solutions. Jovian Hediger (born December 17, 1990, in Reinach, Aargau) is a Swiss cross-country skier. Hediger competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Switzerland. He placed 47th in the qualifying round in the sprint, failing to advance to the knockout stages.
