Cortina d'Ampezzo (; lld, Anpezo, ; historical de-AT, Hayden) is a town and ''comune'' in the heart of the southern (Dolomitic) Alps in the Province of Belluno, in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. Petra Vlhová (born 13 June 1995) is a Slovak World Cup alpine ski racer who specialises in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom. Vlhová won the World Cup overall title in 2021 and the gold medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics in the slalom event, becoming the first Slovak skier to achieve these feats. Career Born in Liptovský Mikuláš during childhood, she attended training sessions at Podbreziny ski center in her native Litpovský Mikuláš. With an altitude of 700 meters and tracks with a combined length 550 meters, the ski center entered disusage in later 2000s and early 2010s. Leona Popović (; born 13 November 1997) is a Croatian alpine ski racer. Previously, she competed in all disciplines, but now specialises in slalom. Her best World Cup finish is sixth in slalom, achieved twice. Popović's first major competition was the 2015 World Championships in Beaver Creek, USA, where she competed in all disciplines at age seventeen; her best result was 27th in slalom. By her 22nd birthday, she had incurred three surgeries on her left leg. Estelle Erika Ainee Alphand (born 23 April 1995) is a French-born Swedish alpine skier, who competes in all events. She was born in Briançon, France, and she is the daughter of the former alpine skier and rally driver Luc Alphand. She has represented Sweden since the start of the 2018 season, having previously competed for France. Biography Alphand, whose mother Anna-Karin is Swedish, took part in her first FIS races aged 15. Cassidy Gray (born 25 January 2001) is a Canadian alpine skier. Career Gray has been part of the national team since 2021. Gray made her World Cup debut in January 2021 with a 26th-place finish in the giant slalom event at the Kranjska Gora stop. At Gray's first World Championships in 2021, Gray finished in 23rd in the giant slalom event. Gray designed a helmet with a Shuswap artist to honour first nations people while racing. Mina Fürst Holtmann (born 17 July 1995) is a Norwegian World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the technical events of slalom and giant slalom. She represents the sports club Bærums SK. Career Fürst Holtmann competed without finishing at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, later competed at the Junior World Championships in 2014, and the following year she won three medals (bronze, silver, and gold).
