Cassidy Gray
Cassidy Gray (born 25 January 2001) is a Canadian alpine skier. Career Gray has been part of the national team since 2021. Gray made her World Cup debut in January 2021 with a 26th-place finish in the giant slalom event at the Kranjska Gora stop. At Gray's first World Championships in 2021, Gray finished in 23rd in the giant slalom event. Gray designed a helmet with a Shuswap artist to honour first nations people while racing. On January 21, 2022, Gray was named to Canada's 2022 Olympic team. Invermere
Invermere is a community in eastern British Columbia, Canada, near the border of Alberta. It is the hub of the Columbia Valley between Golden to the north and Cranbrook to the south. The Shuswap Indian Band (Shuswap language: Kenpesq’t ) is a member government of the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council and also of the Ktunaxa Kinbasket Tribal Council, located in the East Kootenay region of the Canadian province of British Columbia. Its main reserve, the Shuswap Indian Reserve, is located one mile north of Invermere, British Columbia in the Columbia Valley region of the Rocky Mountain Trench on the upper Columbia River, on the other side of the Selkirk Mountains from other Secwepemc bands. FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2021
The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2021 were held from 8–21 February in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. In May 2020, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) and the event organizing committee asked the International Ski Federation (FIS) to postpone the event until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the request was rejected by FIS, and the organizers then moved forward with plans for 2021. The host city was selected at the FIS Congress in Cancún, Mexico, on 10 June 2016. Cortina d'Ampezzo was the only applicant, and had been a finalist for the previous two championships.
