The FIBA Saporta Cup Finals was the championship finals series of the now defunct FIBA Saporta Cup competition. FIBA Saporta Cup was the name of the European-wide second-tier level professional club basketball competition. It was the competition in which the domestic National Cup winners from all over Europe played against each other. The competition was organized by FIBA Europe. The FIBA Saporta Cup was the name of the second-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, where the domestic National Cup winners, from all over Europe, played against each other. The competition was organized by FIBA Europe. It was named after the late Raimundo Saporta, a former Real Madrid director. Limoges CSP
Limoges Cercle Saint-Pierre, commonly referred to as Limoges CSP or CSP, is a French professional basketball club based in the city of Limoges. History The club was founded in 1929, but its peak was during the 1980s and 1990s, when they became the first French club to win a major European-wide title in a team sport, by winning the FIBA European League (EuroLeague) in 1993. In the 1999–2000 season, Limoges won its 9th top-tier level French League title, but it was relegated to the French second division LNB Pro B, after winning it, because of financial problems. The club didn't get back to its old state for a long time, as it spent the next 3 years in the Pro A, but was relegated again in 2004. The 1967–68 FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup was the second edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, contested between national domestic cup champions, running from November 1967, to 4 April 1968. 22 teams took part in the competition, three more than in the inaugural edition. AEK defeated 1966 FIBA European Champions Cup runner-up Slavia VŠ Praha, in the final, which for the first time was held as a single match, to become the competition's first Greek League champion. They previously defeated defending champion, Ignis Varese, in the semifinals. In the final between AEK and Slavia VŠ Praha, which took place in Pangrati, Athens, at Panathenaic Stadium, the seated attendance was 80,000, and the standing attendance, in and around the arena, was 40,000 (for a total of 120,000). The 1966–67 FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup was the inaugural edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, contested between national domestic cup champions. It was contested by 19 teams, and it ran from December 1966, to April 1967. Ignis Varese defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the final, to become the competition's first champion. Mens Sana 1871 Basket is an Italian professional basketball club based in Siena. It is a section of the sports club Polisportiva Mens Sana, founded in 1871. Pallacanestro Treviso, named Benetton Basket due to a long running sponsorship by the Benetton Group and widely referred to as Benetton Treviso, is an Italian youth basketball club based in Treviso, Veneto.
