FIBA European Cup
The FIBA Saporta Cup was the name of the second-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, where the domestic National Cup winners, from all over Europe, played against each other. The competition was organized by FIBA Europe. It was named after the late Raimundo Saporta, a former Real Madrid director. 2001–02 FIBA Saporta Cup
The 2001–02 FIBA Saporta Cup was the thirty-sixth edition of FIBA Europe, FIBA's European professional club basketball system, 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition. It was the last edition of the tournament. It took place between 30 October 2001 and 30 April 1998. The final was held at Lyon, France. Competition system * 24 teams (national domestic cup champions, plus the best qualified teams in the most important European national domestic leagues), entered a preliminary group stage, divided into four groups of six teams each, playing a round-robin. The final standing were based on individual wins and defeats. Košarkarski klub Olimpija ( en, Olimpija Basketball Club) was a men's professional basketball club based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. BC Dinamo Tbilisi ( ka, საკალათბურთო კლუბი ,,დინამო’’) is a professional basketball club that is based in Tbilisi, that plays in the Georgian Superliga. The 1968–69 FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup was the third edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, contested between national domestic cup champions, running from December 1968, to 17 April 1969. 22 teams took part in the competition. The final, held in Vienna, featured for the first time, two clubs from the Eastern Bloc. The 1967–68 FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup was the second edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, contested between national domestic cup champions, running from November 1967, to 4 April 1968. 22 teams took part in the competition, three more than in the inaugural edition.
