The 1995 FIBA European Championship for Cadettes was the 11th edition of the European basketball championship for U16 women's teams, today known as FIBA U16 Women's European Championship. 12 teams featured in the competition, held in Wladyslawowo, Poland, from 29 July to 6 August 1995. Russia won their second title in a row in their second appearance after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. Qualification For the first time since the inception of the tournament, a qualification round was played. Nineteen countries entered the qualification round. They were divide in three groups. The top three teams of each group qualified for the main tournament. Poland (as host), Russia (as incumbent champion) and Spain (as incumbent runner-up) received a bye to the main tournament and did not play in the qualification round. Poprad (; hu, Poprád; german: Deutschendorf) is a city in northern Slovakia at the foot of the High Tatra Mountains, famous for its picturesque historic centre and as a holiday resort. Anadia () is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 29,150, in an area of 216.63 km². It had 26,915 eligible voters. The city of Anadia is part of Arcos e Mogofores parish. The city itself had a population of 3,034 in 2001, while Arcos e Mogofores parish has about 5,000. Estarreja Municipality
Estarreja ( or ) is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 26,997, in an area of 108.17 km2. It had 22,746 eligible voters in 2006. The only city in the municipality is Estarreja, which is in the urban parish of Beduido. The city itself has a population of approximately 7,000. Gorzów Wielkopolski (; german: Landsberg an der Warthe) often abbreviated to Gorzów Wlkp. or simply Gorzów, is a city in western Poland, on the Warta river.
