The FIBA EuroBasket Division B was the second-ranked tier of the bi-annual FIBA EuroBasket EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the E ... competition. FIBA EuroBasket Division B
The EuroBasket Division B was the second-ranked tier of the bi-annual EuroBasket competition. In this Division the teams played-off in order to get a promotion into Division A. Conversely, the two worst performing teams of Division A were relegated into Division B. Also, the winner of the Division C tournament would be invited to promote to Division B. Topsportcentrum (Almere)
The Topsportcentrum is an indoor sports arena, located in Almere, Netherlands. Designed by architectural studio ZJA, it opened on the 7th of October in 2007. Its operator is the city of Almere and its main hall has a capacity of 3,000 people. The sports it is used most for are volleyball and basketball, with VC Allvo and Almere Pioneers use the venue as their home arena. The hall was finished in 2007 and costed €14 million. Laugardalshöll (; also known as Laugardalshöllin and Laugardalsholl Sport Center) is a multi-purpose sports and exhibition venue located in the Laugardalur district of Iceland's capital Reykjavík. The complex consists of two main venues, a sports hall and indoor arena for track and field athletics events. Frederik Nielsen
Frederik Løchte Nielsen (born 27 August 1983) is a former professional tennis player. He was the top ranked player from Denmark in the ATP doubles world rankings. A former Wimbledon men's doubles champion, he peaked at no. 17 in the rankings in April 2013. Nielsen has reached five other doubles finals on tour, winning on two occasions. Nielsen's parents were both tennis players and he picked up the sport at the age of three. Having turned professional in 2001, he began competing on the ITF circuit, winning a singles title every year between 2005 and 2010. Chris Christoffersen (born 13 August 1979) is a retired Danish professional basketball player. He played the majority of his career with Bakken Bears of the Danish Basketligaen. He is a ten-time Danish League champion, having been a stalwart with Bakken in 14 seasons. He has also had stints in Italy, the NBA Development League, Finland, Sweden and Australia. Career In the mid-1990s, Christoffersen moved to the United States to attend Nordhoff High School. At that time, he had only one year of organized basketball under his belt. Logi Gunnarsson
Logi Gunnarsson (born 5 September 1981) is an Icelandic former basketball player who played most of his career for Njarðvík in the Icelandic top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla. He was a member of the Icelandic national basketball team, where he participated at the EuroBasket 2015 and EuroBasket 2017. During his career he has won the Icelandic championship three times, in 1998, 2001 and 2002, and the Icelandic Cup twice, in 2002 and 2021. Fannar Ólafsson
Fannar Ólafsson (born November 20, 1978) is an Icelandic basketball analyst on Stöð 2 Sport's '' Domino's Körfuboltakvöld'' (English: Domino's Basketball Night) and a former basketball player. He went five times to the Úrvalsdeild finals, as a member of Keflavík and KR, and won the national championships each time. He won the Icelandic Basketball Cup in 2004 and 2011. Jón Arnór Stefánsson (born 21 September 1982) is an Icelandic basketball player and a former member of the Icelandic national team. Arvin Slagter (born 19 September 1985) is a Dutch basketball player who plays for the Netherlands men's national 3x3 team. Slagter also played for several other Dutch 5vs5 teams in his career, including Rotterdam, Bergen op Zoom, Leiden and Groningen.
