FC Vilafranca
Futbol Club Vilafranca is a List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish football team based in Vilafranca del Penedès, Catalonia. Founded in 1904, it currently plays in Tercera División RFEF, Tercera División RFEF – Group 5, holding home matches at ''Camp Municipal'' with a capacity for 5,000 seats. History The club was founded in 1904, being one of the oldest football clubs in Spain. In August 2020, the club became the farm team of Lleida Esportiu. In May 2021, Vilafranca achieved a first-ever promotion to Segunda División RFEF (which replaced the old Segunda División B), but as Lleida failed to achieve promotion to Primera División RFEF, Vilafranca became ineligible for promotion. Vilafranca Del Penedès
Vilafranca del Penedès, or simply Vilafranca (), is the capital of the ''comarca'' of the Alt Penedès in Catalonia, Spain. The Spanish spelling of the name, ''Villafranca del Panadés'', is no longer in official use since 1982 (Law 12/1982, of 8 October). It is situated in the Penedès Depression on the left bank of the Foix River, and on the main axis of communication from Barcelona to Tarragona and Valencia, served by a Rodalies Barcelona line 4 and by the AP-7 ''autopista'' as well as by the C-243 towards Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, and C-15 (formerly called C-244) roads to Vilanova i la Geltrú and Igualada respectively. Primera Catalana
The Primera Catalana is the 6th tier of the Spanish football league system and the highest league in the autonomous community of Catalonia. The league was formed in 1991 to replace Regional Preferent as the first level of Catalonia and was split into 2 groups in 2011. Primera Catalana is one of 19 regional premier leagues in Spanish football. Structure The league comprises 48 teams (3 groups of 16 teams). Over the course of a season, which runs annually from September to the following June, each team plays twice against the others in the league, once at 'home' and once 'away', resulting in each team competing in 30 games in total.
