Fotbal Club Vaslui are a Romanian professional association football club based in Vaslui, Romania, who currently are not playing in any league following their relegation from the Liga I due to the financial collapse. They have played at their current home ground, Municipal, since their foundation in 2002. CS Sporting Juniorul Vaslui (), commonly known as Sporting Vaslui, Juniorul Vaslui or simply as Vaslui, is a Romanian professional football club based in Vaslui, Vaslui County, founded in 2002 and re-founded in 2014. The club is currently playing in the Liga II and the official club colours are yellow and green, hence the nickname "the Yellow and Greens". The club is currently owned by CS Sporting Juniorul Vaslui and FC Vaslui Supporters Association and has the legal right to use ''FC Vaslui Brand''. The club was founded in 2002 as ''Fotbal Club Vaslui'' and became one of the most prominent football clubs in the country after its promotion to the Liga I, three years later. 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup
The 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup was the last UEFA Intertoto Cup football tournament, the 14th to be organised by UEFA and the third since the competition's format was given a major overhaul. Fifty teams were invited, with the eleven winners after the third round then advancing to the second qualifying round of the 2008–09 UEFA Cup. Sorin Cătălin Frunză (born 29 March 1978) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a left midfielder for Liga IV side Avântul Valea Mărului. Frunză began his career at Dunărea Galați. After one year spent at Cimentul Fieni and Politehnica Timişoara and two one-year spells at Dacia Unirea Brăila and Jiul Petroşani, Frunză moved in 2002 to newly founded Vaslui, and spent two seasons at the club before a transfer to Universitatea Craiova in the Romanian first division.
