FC Ursidos Chișinău
FC Ursidos Chişinău is a defunct Moldovan football club from Chişinău, Moldova. They were founded in 2010 and played for a season in the 2010–11 Moldovan "A" Division, the second division in Moldovan football. History The aim for their first season was promotion to the Moldovan National Division, but they finished in second place in the 2010–11 Moldovan "A" Division, with champions being Locomotiv Bălţi, who did not apply for a National Division license. Despite this, second-placed Ursidos were not allowed to play in the first division, after they could not meet requirements for the National Division license, due to not having their own stadium. In the 2011–12 season, they merged with FC Milsami Orhei and formed FC Milsami-Ursidos Orhei. Gabriel Stan (born 25 June 1952) is a Romanian Head coach, football manager. He is sometimes nicknamed Gabello. Coaching career Braşov Stan is known as the last manager to qualify FC Brașov (1936), FC Brașov in a European competition. In the 2000–01 Divizia A, 2000–2001 Romanian Division A he managed with Braşov a third spot finish, thus qualifying to the 2001–02 UEFA Cup, UEFA Cup, where the club subsequently managed to meet with Internazionale Milano. However, because he had signed a contract with FC Astra Ploieşti, Astra Ploieşti in the season break, he did not lead the team in the European encounters. He would resign from Astra Ploieşti and return to FC Brașov (1936), Braşov a few months later, from day 9 into the 2001–02 season, but then unluckily resign again in round 23, after a poor run of results. Moldovan National Division
The Moldovan Super Liga is an association football league that is currently the top division of Moldovan football league system. The competition was established in 1992, when the country became independent from the Soviet Union. It was formed in place of former Soviet republican competitions that existed since 1945. Before the Soviet occupation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina in 1940, clubs from modern Moldova competed in the Romanian football competitions, particularly Nistru Chișinău. There are currently eight teams in the competition. At the end of the season, the bottom club is relegated to the Moldovan Liga 1 and replaced by the lower league's champion. Sheriff Tiraspol—located in Transnistria—is the most successful league club with 20 titles, and is followed by Zimbru Chișinău with eight wins.
