FC United was originally known as the women's section of FF Jaro and the current club was established in 1993. Petra Pauliina Vaelma (born 11 May 1982) is a Finnish former football defender who most recently played for Klepp IL of the Norwegian Toppserien. She previously played for United Pietarsaari in the Naisten Liiga, and Bälinge IF and Umeå Södra in the Swedish Damallsvenskan, also playing in the UEFA Women's Champions League with United Pietarsaari. Cynthia Uwak (born 15 July 1986 in Akwa Ibom State) is a Nigerian football striker who most recently played for Åland United in the Naisten Liiga in Finland. Early life Cynthia Uwak's first experience of playing football was against boys in the streets of her hometown. She was supported by her mother to pursue football, and was able to combine playing with her secondary education. Football career Club Cynthia Uwak began her club career with Finnish women's side KMF, and has spent the majority of her club career in Scandinavia with the exception of a stint in France and Germany. Leena Puranen Skogman (born 18 October 1986) is a Finnish people, Finnish Association football, football Forward (association football), forward who plays for Swedish lower division team Varbergs BoIS. In 2012 and 2013 she played for Jitex BK in Sweden's Damallsvenskan. Katri Susanna Mattsson (née Nokso-Koivisto; born 22 November 1982) is a Finnish former football midfielder, who most recently played for PK-35 Vantaa. She previously played for LSK Kvinner FK of the Norwegian Toppserien. Before moving to Norway she played the 2012 season with Jitex BK in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Rita Chikwelu (born 6 March 1988) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward and midfielder for Spanish Liga F club FC Levante Las Planas and the Nigeria women's national team. She previously played for Swedish sides Umeå IK and Kristianstads DFF. Club career From 2006 to 2009, Chikwelu played in Finland for FC United. Emmi Alanen (born 30 April 1991) is a Finnish football midfielder and former wrestler who plays for Swedish Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF. Career Before moving to Sweden in 2013, she played for Kokkola F10, Sport-39 Vaasa, FC United Pietarsaari and HJK Helsinki of the Naistenliiga. Alanen made her senior debut for the Finland women's national football team on 19 June 2010, as a substitute in a 4–1 World Cup qualifying win over Portugal in Vantaa. Røa IL
Røa IL is a Norwegian sports club from Røa in the borough of Vestre Aker, Oslo. It was founded on 11 November 1900, and has sections for football, gymnastics, bandy, and cross-country skiing. Football, bandy, and Nordic skiing have been dominant in Røa. In bandy, the team has twice made it to the finals in the Norwegian cup, losing both to arch-rivals Stabæk. The Valur women's football team, commonly known as Valur, is the women's football department of the Valur multi-sport club. It is based in Reykjavík, Iceland, and currently plays in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna, the top-tier women's football league in Iceland. The team plays it home games at Hlíðarendi located in Reykjavík. Pärnu Jalgpalliklubi, commonly known as PJK, or simply as Pärnu, was a Women's association football, women's football team based in Pärnu, Estonia.
