FC Togliatti
FC Tolyatti (russian: ФК «Тольятти») was a Russian football club from Tolyatti, founded in 2008. Most of the players on the 2008 roster came from FC Krylia Sovetov-SOK Dimitrovgrad 2007 roster, and the club actually plays their home games in Dimitrovgrad. In March 2010, the club was excluded from the Second Division, (as was another Tolyatti team, FC Lada Tolyatti at the time). FC Lada Tolyatti is still functioning however, while Tolyatti is now also represented by FC Akademiya Tolyatti. See also |

FC Lada Tolyatti
FC Lada-Tolyatti (russian: ФК "Лада-Тольятти") is a Russian football club based in Tolyatti. History The club was founded in 1970 at the VAZ automobile company under the name of ''Torpedo''. The team played in the Soviet Second League until the dissolution of USSR. In 1988 the club was renamed after VAZ's '' Lada'' brand. Since entering the Russian First Division in 1992 Lada experienced a number of divisional movements. They played in the Top Division in 1994 and 1996, in the First Division in 1992–1993, 1995, 1997–1998, 2000–2003 and 2006, and in the Second Division in 1999 and 2004–2005. Both spells in the Top Division were unsuccessful, as Lada finished last. Lada reached the semifinal of the Russian Cup in 2002/03. Lada Togliatti failed to obtain the First Division licence and were thus relegated to Second Division in 2007. Yuri Konoplyov football academy (russian: Академия футбола имени Юрия Коноплёва) is a Russian youth football academy based in Togliatti. History The academy was founded in 2003 as SDYuShOR Krylia Sovetov. In 2007 the name was changed in honor of its founder Yuri Konoplyov, a local businessman who died in 2006 aged 39. Since then it is sponsored mainly by Abramovich's National Academy of Football. In June 2022, the academy became affiliated with FC Akron Tolyatti. Dimitrovgrad (russian: Димитровград; ), formerly Melekess () until 1972, is a city in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is the administrative center of Melekessky District, although it is not within the district and is an independent city. The city is located in the Volga Region, at the confluence of the Melekesska River and the Bolshoy Cheremshan River, a tributary of the Volga River.
