Radomir (town)
Radomir ( ) is a town in the Radomir Municipality in the Pernik Province of Bulgaria. Geography The town of Radomir is located at 764 meters above sea level in the Radomir valley, at the foot of Mount Golo Bardo. It is the center of the historical-geographical region of Mraka. The climate is humid-continental ( Dfb). History The town was first mentioned in a 15th-century source as ''Uradmur''. The current form appears for the first time in a source from 1488. The name is derived directly from the personal name ''Radomir'' or its adjectival form. Not many names of priests and clergymen have been preserved in the history of the small town, but it is a fact that the Radomir valley was defended in the Christian spirit even after the fall of Bulgaria under Ottoman rule at the end of the 14th century. Sasho Borisov
Sasho Borisov Hristov (; born 22 July 1955) is a Bulgarian retired football player. Borisov played as a defender. On the club level, Borisov most notably played for Minyor Pernik, Akademik Sofia, ZhSK Spartak Varna and Sredets Sofia. He also had a spell abroad with Maltese sides Mosta and Mqabba Ħajduks. After retiring as a player, he has worked as an assistant manager at CSKA Sofia. 2013–14 V AFG
The 2013–14 V Football Group season was the 64th season of the Bulgarian V Group. The group comprises the third level of the Bulgarian football pyramid and is divided into four geographic regions: ''North-West'', ''North-East'', ''South-East'', and ''South-West''. The top team from each region was directly promoted to B Group for season 2014–15. The bottom two teams of each division were relegated to their respective regional groups at the fourth level of the football league system for the following season. 2012–13 Bulgarian Cup
The 2012–13 Bulgarian Cup was the 31st official season of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 13 October 2012 with the matches of the preliminary round and ended with the final on 15 May 2013. Ludogorets Razgrad were the defending champions, but were eliminated by CSKA Sofia in the second round. Beroe Stara Zagora won the title, their second overall, after defeating Levski Sofia in the final by penalties. The winners of the competition, Beroe Stara Zagora, qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. The winners of each of the four regional groups progress to the 2012–13 B PFG, and up to four teams from each group are relegated to regional amateur championships. The 2010–11 V AFG season was the 62nd season of the Bulgarian V AFG, the third tier of the Bulgarian football league system. The season started on 15 August 2010 and finished in May 2011. The group comprised four regional divisions with a different number of teams. Only the champion of each division was promoted to the B Group 2011/12. Georgi Vasilev (footballer, Born 1946)
Georgi Vasilev Ivanov (; born 9 August 1946), nicknamed Gocheto and The General, is а Bulgarian former football manager and player. Biography Born in Bobovdol, Vasilev began his football career at Cherveno Zname of Radomir, representing the team between 1961 and 1965, before moving to FC Sliven in 1967 and then to Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa in 1967–68. He also played for Marek Dupnitsa (1968–69) and Etar Veliko Tarnovo (1969–77), featuring in 220 matches and scoring 32 goals in the A PFG. While at Etar, he graduated in history from Veliko Tarnovo University. Finishing the Cologne school for football managers, Vasilev's first team as a manager was Levski Strazhitsa, which he managed in 1977–79. He was then appointed to work at Etar as an assistant manager (1979–81) and manager (until 1992, with some interruptions). Simeon Petrov
Simeon Petrov (; born 12 January 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Hungarian club Fehérvár, on loan from Śląsk Wrocław. Born in France, he plays for the Bulgaria national team. Club career Born in Limoges, France, in a family of Bulgarian emigrants, Petrov started his football career in the local academy of Limoges. In 2018 he joined Gazélec Ajaccio, before moving to Bulgaria in 2019 and joining the second-level side Strumska Slava. On 24 May 2020, he joined the newly promoted First League club CSKA 1948. On 21 December 2023, it was announced Petrov would join Polish Ekstraklasa side Śląsk Wrocław on a six-month loan, with a purchase option, starting from 1 January 2024.
