FC Shakhta Ukraina Ukrainsk was a football team based in a small city of Ukrainsk, Ukraine. History The football team appeared in mid 1990s and represented the Ukraine coal mine in Ukrainsk. Led by Viktor Hrachov, the team has won the Ukrainian Amateur Cup and some four of its players along with its manager were called to form the Ukrainian amateur national team to make a debut at the 2001 UEFA Regions' Cup. The Ukrainian Amateur Cup ( uk, Кубок України з футболу серед аматорських команд) or AAFU Cup ( uk, Кубок ААФУ) is a national cup competition in Ukraine for amateur clubs. The nationwide competition among amateur teams in cup format (Olympic system) was revived in the 1996–97 season and since 2008 the winner receives the right to progress to the Ukrainian Cup which serves professional clubs. Format The Cup is intended to be organised between the Cup holders of the regional tournaments, but in reality it is an optional invitational tournament among teams that are delegated by selected regions (oblasts of Ukraine and autonomous republic of Crimea). The 1999 Ukrainian Amateur Cup was the fourth annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition for amateur football teams. The competition started on 6 September 1999 and concluded on 16 October 1999. The competition shifted to spring-fall system (within a single calendar year) along with competition in championship. Vasyl Sachko
Vasyl Sachko (born 3 May 1975) is a retired professional Ukrainian footballer who played as a striker, and current manager. He is a resident of Lutsk since joining the local football club back in 2001. Career A native of Eastern Ukraine, Sachko started to play football in a local sports school of Velyka Novosilka Raion. His first coach was Volodymyr Lypovyi. After finishing the obligatory military service in Simferopol, Sachko was not certain about his future and ended up in the city of Ukrainsk which is part of Selydove. Until 2000 Sachko played primarily in amateur competitions for several clubs from Donetsk Oblast except for a short stint in 1998 when he defended colors of SC Tavriya Simferopol in the Vyshcha Liha. After Tavriya he returned to Shakhta Ukraina. While playing in Ukrainsk, Sachko also worked in local militsiya since amateur clubs do not pay their players.
