FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny-2 (russian: ФК «Олимп-Долгопрудный-2») was a Russian football team based in Dolgoprudny. It was the reserves club for FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny. After the parent club was promoted to the second-tier FNL for the 2021–22 season, the second team was licensed for the third-tier Russian FNL 2. The club was not licensed for the 2022–23 season. The 2021–22 Russian Football National League 2 is the third highest division in Russian football. The Russian Football National League 2 is geographically divided into 4 groups. The Russian Second League (russian: Первенство России II дивизиона ФНЛ), formerly Russian Professional Football League is the third level of Russian professional football. History In 1998–2010, it was run by the Professional Football League. The 2011–12 season was run by the Department of Professional Football of the Russian Football Union (russian: Департамент профессионального футбола Российского футбольного союза (ДПФ РФС), Departament professional'nogo futbola Rossijskogo futbol'nogo soyuza (DPF RFS)). Dolgoprudny (russian: Долгопру́дный, ) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located about north of Moscow city center. The town's name is derived from Russian "" (''dolgy prud'', lit. "long pond")—a long and narrow pond situated in the northeastern part of the town. The town's name is sometimes colloquially shortened as ''Dolgopa''. FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny (russian: ФК «Олимп-Долгопрудный») was a professional association football club from Dolgoprudny, Russia. It made its debut in the second-highest Russian Football National League in the 2021–22 season and was denied license by the Russian Football Union at the end of that season. It began competing in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League in the 2012–13 season. The Russian First League (russian: Первая лига, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division (russian: Первый дивизион) and Russian Football National League (FNL) (russian: Первенство Футбольной Национальной Лиги, Pervenstvo Futbol'noy Natsional'noy Ligi) is the second level of the Russian football league system. FC Kosmos Dolgoprudny (russian: ФК «Космос» Долгопрудный) is a professional association football club from Dolgoprudny, Russia.
