FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny-2 (russian: ФК «Олимп-Долгопрудный-2») was a Russian football team based in Dolgoprudny. It was the reserves club for FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny. After the parent club was promoted to the second-tier FNL for the 2021–22 season, the second team was licensed for the third-tier Russian FNL 2. The club was not licensed for the 2022–23 season. The 2021–22 Russian Football National League 2 is the third highest division in Russian football. The Russian Football National League 2 is geographically divided into 4 groups. The winners of each zone are automatically promoted into the National Football League. The bottom finishers of each zone lose professional status and are relegated into the Amateur Football League. The Russian Second League (russian: Первенство России II дивизиона ФНЛ), formerly Russian Professional Football League is the third level of Russian professional football. History In 1998–2010, it was run by the Professional Football League. Dolgoprudny (russian: Долгопру́дный, ) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located about north of Moscow city center. The town's name is derived from Russian "" (''dolgy prud'', lit. FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny (russian: ФК «Олимп-Долгопрудный») was a professional association football club from Dolgoprudny, Russia. It made its debut in the second-highest Russian Football National League in the 2021–22 season and was denied license by the Russian Football Union at the end of that season. It began competing in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League in the 2012–13 season. The Russian First League (russian: Первая лига, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division (russian: Первый дивизион) and Russian Football National League (FNL) (russian: Первенство Футбольной Национальной Лиги, Pervenstvo Futbol'noy Natsional'noy Ligi) is the second level of the Russian football league system. FC Kosmos Dolgoprudny (russian: ФК «Космос» Долгопрудный) is a professional association football club from Dolgoprudny, Russia. It made its debut in the third-highest Russian Second League in the 2022–23 season. History A club with the same name played professionally from 1991 to 1998 before moving to a different city. After Kosmos moved, a new club was organized in Dolgoprudny called FSC Dolgoprudny.
