Nookat
Nookat ( ky, Ноокат), also ''Eski-Nookat'', ''Iski-Naukat'' or ''Naukat'', is a city in Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is the seat of Nookat District. Its population was 18,228 in 2021. The main street, Soltobaev, forms part of the main Osh-Batken highway and is consequently very dusty and busy, lined by willow, poplar and plane trees. Nookat came to signify the repression during the Kurmanbek Bakiyev Kurmanbek Saliyevich Bakiyev (, ''Kurmanbek Saliyevich (Sali Uulu) Bakiyev''; born 1 August 1949) is a Kyrgyz politician who served as the second President of Kyrgyzstan, from 2005 to 2010. Kyrgyz Premier League ('' ky, Кыргыз Премьер Лигасы, Keurgeuz Premier Ligaseu'') is the division of professional football in Kyrgyzstan. It was created in 1992 after the Dissolution of the Soviet Union. The league is composed of eight teams. The most successful team is Dordoi Bishkek who have won the league thirteen times. The winner of the league earns a spot in the AFC Cup preliminary qualifying round, Asia's second highest club continental competition. The team with the worst record at the end of each season is demoted to the Kyrgyzstan League Second Level. Starting from the 2019 season, the league was rebranded as the Kyrgyz Premier League.
