FC Midtjylland Academy
FC Midtjylland Academy is the youth academy of FC Midtjylland. The academy consists of youth teams on under-19, under-17 and under-15 basis. History FC Midtjylland Academy is the first Danish football academy based on the academy of FC Nantes Atlantique. All the players live at Sportcenter Ikast, where they also train up to nine times a week. Around eight players in every year usually get a contract with the club. The academy places the social development of its scholars as a priority, and every student follows a regular schooling at either Idrætsefterskolen i Ikast, Ikast Handelsskole or Ikast Gymnasium and takes part in the daily life of the school. Notable players Players who have begun their careers at the FC Midtjylland Acedmy include Danish international Simon Kjær and New Zealand international Winston Reid. FC Midtjylland
FC Midtjylland (, "Central Jutland") is a Danish professional football club based in Herning and Ikast in the western part of Jutland. The club is the result of a merger between Ikast FS and Herning Fremad. Midtjylland competes in the Danish Superliga, which they have won three times, most recently in 2020. Club history FC Midtjylland was founded by Johnny Rune, a carpenter and owner of a private business in the wood-supply industry, and Steen Hessel, an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. The two men wanted to unite the football clubs Ikast FS (founded 1935) and Herning Fremad (founded 1918) – clubs that for decades had been strong rivals, but had never played any significant role in Danish football. Ikast FS had some success in the late 1970s and '80s and made three Danish Cup final appearances, but had never been a top team in the Danish league. Izunna Uzochukwu
Izunna Arnest Uzochukwu (born 11 April 1990) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Denmark Series club B1909. Career Club During the summer of 2013, Uzochukwu was subject to a transfer bid from Valenciennes, but the deal fell through. In July 2015, Uzochukwu signed a three-year contract with Russian Premier League side Amkar Perm. He returned to Denmark in January 2016 to play for OB. Jonas Bybjerg Lössl (born 1 February 1989) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Danish Superliga club Midtjylland, and the Denmark national team. After beginning his professional career with Midtjylland, he played in France for Guingamp, in Germany for Mainz 05, and in England for Huddersfield Town and Everton. Erik Sergiyovych Sviatchenko ( uk, Ерік Сергійович Святченко; born 4 October 1991) is a Danish footballer who plays as a defender and captain of FC Midtjylland. Mads Albæk (born 14 January 1990) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for SønderjyskE. He has also represented the Danish national under-21 team. Jesper Lindorff Juelsgård (born 26 January 1989) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Danish 1st Division side FC Fredericia. Christian Sivebæk (born 19 February 1988) is a retired Danish professional footballer. He is son of the former Denmark international, John Sivebæk. Babajide "Baba" Collins Babatunde (born 2 December 1988) is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Jude Ikechukwu Nworuh (born 9 June 1989 in Lagos) is a Nigerian professional footballer who is currently playing for Hapoel Ramat Gan. Career Nworuh began his career at F.C. Ebedei in Lagos, Nigeria, which is the former youth team of Obafemi Martins and many other successful Nigerian footballers. He was a top scorer at F.C.
