Akademiya (russian: "Академия") was a Russian association football club from Tolyatti, Russia. The club was founded in 1991 as a result of the merger between Energiya () and Lada-Simbirsk (). Before the 2010 season, two teams from Tolyatti, FC Togliatti and FC Lada Togliatti, were excluded from the professional leagues, with FC Akademiya representing Tolyatti at the time. PFC Krylia Sovetov Samara (russian: Профессиональный футбольный клуб «Крылья Советов» Самара) is a football club from Russia based in Samara. It returned to the Russian Premier League for the 2021–22 season. In 2004, they finished third in the Russian Premier League. History Krylia Sovetov was founded in Kuybyshev (now Samara) in 1942. On 21 April 1946 the team played its first match in the highest division in the USSR in Alma-Ata, in which they lost 1–2 to Zenit Leningrad. Krylia Sovetov participated in 48 seasons of the Soviet Top League and 13 in the Russian Premier League, as well as 43 USSR Cups and 13 Russian Cups. Yuri Konoplyov football academy (russian: Академия футбола имени Юрия Коноплёва) is a Russian youth football academy based in Togliatti. History The academy was founded in 2003 as SDYuShOR Krylia Sovetov. In 2007 the name was changed in honor of its founder Yuri Konoplyov, a local businessman who died in 2006 aged 39. FC Lada-Tolyatti (russian: ФК "Лада-Тольятти") is a Russian football club based in Tolyatti. History The club was founded in 1970 at the VAZ automobile company under the name of ''Torpedo''. The team played in the Soviet Second League until the dissolution of USSR. In 1988 the club was renamed after VAZ's '' Lada'' brand. Since entering the Russian First Division in 1992 Lada experienced a number of divisional movements. They played in the Top Division in 1994 and 1996, in the First Division in 1992–1993, 1995, 1997–1998, 2000–2003 and 2006, and in the Second Division in 1999 and 2004–2005.
