FC Druzhba Berdiansk ( uk, ФК Дружба Бердянськ) was a football club from Berdiansk, Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine. History Before 1990s, Berdiansk was represented by FC Torpedo Berdiansk which disappeared following 1991. FC Druzhba Osypenko was created in 1990 at the Druzhba collective farm (kolkhoz) in a village of Osypenko, Berdiansk Raion. In 1991 it was a runner-up in the Zaporizhia Oblast Football Championship. In 1992 and 1992–93, it participated in the Ukrainian professional competitions of lower leagues. In 1993, the club moved to Berdiansk. After 1993, Druzhba withdrew from competitions and was dissolved. Berdiansk
Berdiansk or Berdyansk ( uk, Бердя́нськ, translit=Berdiansk, ; russian: Бердя́нск, translit=Berdyansk ) is a port city in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast (Oblast, province) in south-eastern Ukraine. It is on the northern coast of the Sea of Azov, which is the northern extension of the Black Sea. It serves as an administrative center of Berdiansk Raion (district), though it does not belong to the raion. The city is named after the Berda River forming the Berdianska Spit at the foot of which it is located. Berdiansk is home to a safari zoo, water park, museums, destination spa, health resorts with mud baths and climatic treatments, and numerous water sport activities. A kolkhoz ( rus, колхо́з, a=ru-kolkhoz.ogg, p=kɐlˈxos) was a form of collective farm in the Soviet Union. Osypenko, Berdiansk Raion
Osypenko ( uk, Осипенко) is a village (''selo'') in southern Ukraine. It is located in the Berdiansk Raion (raion, district) of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast (oblast, province) just across from Berdiansk, Berdiiansk on the left bank of river Berda. The village was established in 1805 by runaway serfs from Poltava Governorate. Until 1939 it was known as Novospasivka. The village was renamed as ''Osypenko'' which is a proper last name for Polina Osipenko, born in the village, who survived an airplane crash of test flight from Moscow to the Russian Far East without landing, after the nearby city of Berdiansk was re-renamed.
