Lurnea, New South Wales
Lurnea is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 35 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. History Lurnea was originally home to the Cabrogal people who spoke the Darug language. Following British settlement of the area in the 1800s, it was given the colloquial name Hillview as the suburb had nice views of the surrounding Liverpool area, and this name persisted until after World War I when the land was converted into a soldier settlement which provided the soldiers with enough room for a house and a small farm. It was renamed Lurnea which means "a resting place". Lurnea Post Office opened on 15 February 1921. A street was also named after the old name of the suburb – Hillview Parade. The NSW League One Men is an Australian semi-professional association football league comprising teams from New South Wales. The league sits at Level 2 on the New South Wales league system, behind the National Premier Leagues NSW, (Level 3 of the overall Australian league system). The competition is administered by Football NSW, the governing body of the sport in the southern region of the state (the northern region governed by Northern NSW Football). The New South Wales regional leagues are the fifth level of soccer in New South Wales, and the sixth nationally. The league consists of nineteen separate regional senior leagues and is administered by Football New South Wales. The Albury-Wodonga Football Association, which in addition to clubs from southern NSW, includes several clubs based in northern Victoria, is also run by Football NSW. There is no promotion to NSW State League however clubs may apply to join. FC Gazy Auburn
FC Gazy Auburn, is an Australian amateur (formerly semi-professional until 2019) soccer club, based and located in the Auburn area of New South Wales. In season 2019, they competed in the NSW State League competition. History Formed by the Bosnian community of Western Sydney in 2002 as Gazy Lansvale the club entered the then NSW State League 2 competition in 2015 as FC Gazy Lansvale. In their first season, the club picked up only 3 wins and finished 8th out of the 10 teams. In 2016 the club finished last in the rebranded NSW State League competition with only 3 wins.
