FC Baku
FC Baku ( az, "Bakı" Futbol Klubu) was an Azerbaijani football club based in Baku that has been an amateur club since 2016. Prior to that, Baku played 18 seasons in the Azerbaijan Premier League, winning the championship twice and the National Cup three times. The club ceased operations in 2018. History Early years (1997–2004) Led by Shamil Heydarov, Dinamo finished 2nd and entered the 1998-99 UEFA Cup, but was eliminated by Argeş Piteşti 1-7 on aggregate in the preliminary round. In the 1997–98 season, Dinamo appointed Ruslan Abdullayev as their new head coach. Under the management of Abdullayev, the team passed the first part of tournament well, although 3rd place and 52 points were not enough for medals or European cups, and Dinamo finished the season in 6th place. Gjoko Hadžievski or Ǵoko Hadžievski ( mk, Ѓоко Хаџиевски; born 31 March 1955) is a football coach from North Macedonia who was most recently the manager of Hatta Club, Hatta. Hafiz Mammadov ( az, Hafiz Məmmədov, script=Latn, italic=no; born 2 December 1964 in Nakhchivan, in Azerbaijan) is an Azerbaijani businessman who founded and owns the Baghlan Group. Milinko Pantić (Serbian Cyrillic: Милинко Пантић, born 5 September 1966) is a Serbian retired footballer and current manager. Playing career Pantić spent the first six seasons of his professional career with FK Partizan between 1985 and 1991. Aleksandrs Starkovs (born 26 July 1955) is a Latvian football coach and a former player. Most recently he coached FK Liepāja. Starkovs has managed clubs such as Spartak Moscow in Russia, FK Baku in Azerbaijan and Skonto FC in Latvia. He had three stints with the Latvia national team.
