The FCD Anniversary Open is a darts tournament held in Calella, Catalunya. It has been held since 2015 when the Federació Catalana de Dards celebrated the 25th anniversary of its foundation. Always been held on Calella the same weekenend of Catalonia Open Darts. World Darts Federation
The World Darts Federation (WDF) is a sport governing body and (along with the PDC) a tournament organiser for the game of darts. It was formed in 1974 by representatives of the original fourteen founding members. Membership is open to the national organizing body for darts in all nations. The Catalonia Open is a darts tournament held in Calella, Catalonia. It has been held since 1995. The first edition was staged in Barcelona and then moved to Calella. This competition is organized by Federació Catalana de Dards (FCD) and is ranked for World Darts Federation (WDF) and British Darts Organisation (BDO). The official darts federation from Catalunya are a full member of World Darts Federation (WDF) from September 2011. Originated by the successful participation of Catalonia Open, the organization was created FCD Anniversary Open coinciding with the twenty-fifth anniversary, and since 2015 this competition celebrates next day of the Catalonia Open on Sunday. British Darts Organisation
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and amateur darts competitions in Britain. The BDO was a founder member of the World Darts Federation in 1976. It also staged a BDO World Darts Championship, World Professional Darts Championship from 1978 to 2020. José Augusto Oliveira de Sousa (born 12 February 1974) is a Portuguese professional darts player. He is based in Tarragona and represented Spain at the 2011 WDF World Cup, but played for the Portuguese team afterwards at the PDC. He won his first televised major title at the 2020 Grand Slam of Darts. He is known among darts fans for his maverick-like scoring, relatively frequent miscounts and unorthodox checkouts in matches.
