Rodney Lucas (born December 11, 1982), better known by his stage name F.Stokes (pronounced "F Dot Stokes"), is an American rapper from South Side, Chicago, Illinois. Early life Rodney Lucas is originally from South Side, Chicago, Illinois. Around the age of 11, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin. He attended Madison West High School. At the age of 19, he moved to New York City, New York. He interned at Def Jam Recordings and worked at Grandstand Entertainment. Career Lucas' stage name, F.Stokes, derives from Flukey Stokes, who lived in his Chicago neighborhood growing up. Aaron Mader (born July 21, 1982), better known by his stage name Lazerbeak, is an American record producer, singer, and guitarist from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has been a member of Doomtree, The Plastic Constellations, Mixed Blood Majority, Shredders, and Night Stone. Early life Lazerbeak was born Aaron Mader on July 21, 1982. John Samels, better known by his stage name Paper Tiger, is a hip hop producer and DJ from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. He is a founding member of the indie hip hop collective Doomtree. History Paper Tiger released the 7-inch vinyl single, ''Cloquet'', in December 2009. The South Side is an area of Chicago, Illinois, U.S. It lies south of the city's Loop area in the downtown. Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists". The community was founded by The Roots' drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and author Angela Nissel as a loose musical collective in 1987, and evolved into an online community in 1999.
