F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee
F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee, also called Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee, Zwarte Duivels or Oud-Heverlee, was a Belgian football club from the municipality of Oud-Heverlee, Flemish Brabant that existed between 1957 and 2002, when it merged with Stade Leuven and Daring Club Leuven to form Oud-Heverlee Leuven. History In 1957 F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee joined the Belgian FA, receiving matricule n°6142. In 1996 the club became champions in the First Provincial Division, thereby promoting into the national level of football for the first time. In 2000, the club became champions again in the Belgian Fourth Division, moving into the Belgian Third Division. There they finished in third place during the 2001–02 season, qualifying for the promotion playoffs. Oud-Heverlee Leuven (), also called OH Leuven or OHL, is a Belgian football club from the city of Leuven. It was created in 2002 from the merger of three clubs, '' F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee'', whose registration number it inherited, ''Daring Club Leuven'', and '' Stade Leuven''. The club's home ground is Den Dreef, located in Heverlee. Belgian Fourth Division
The Belgian Fourth Division was the lowest nationwide division in Belgian football. The division was split into four separate leagues, A, B, C and D. The team with the most points in the four leagues together was declared the overall winner. If several league winners had the same number of points, the one with the most wins was declared champion, or if that was still tied, then the one with the best goal average was declared champion. Finally, if two teams were still equal, a single match was played on a neutral ground to determine the team to be added to the palmares. For 2016–17 the Belgian Fourth Division was replaced by the Belgian Third Amateur Division. The Belgian Second Division (known as the Proximus League for sponsorship reasons) was the second-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Pro League. It was founded by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1909 and folded in 2016, when it was replaced by the Belgian First Division B. History The second division was created in 1909 and was known as the Promotion nl, bevordering at the time. From 1923 on there were two leagues in that division (called Promotion A and Promotion B). It had two leagues of 18 teams each (Belgian Third Division A, A and Belgian Third Division B, B) at the same level.
