Firecatcher F-45
The Firecatcher Aircraft F-45 is a single-turboprop aircraft designed for aerial firefighting, air freight and commuter airlines. It is financed by UK start-up Arcus Fire, designed by New Zealand firm Flight Structures and built by NZ's Pacific Aerospace. First flight is planned for 2023 and first delivery for 2024. Development The $4.2 million F-45 is targeted to replace previous designs like the Bombardier CL-215 or the Grumman S-2AT, a market estimated at 1,000 units over 10 to 15 years. By August 2020, Flight Structures had built the prototype's fuselage, awaiting wings from Pacific Aerospace, as flight testing was planned for 2023 in Hamilton, NZ. Initial certification is planned under the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority’s restricted category for a simpler and faster process. The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer (F45/U06 model code) is a two-row subcompact executive MPV produced by BMW since August 2014. The closely related BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer (F46 model code) is a longer three-row version which began production in 2015. Marketed as part of the 2 Series range, the F45/F46 are based on the front-wheel-drive UKL2 platform. The design is based on the BMW Concept Active Tourer, and is mechanically related to the MINI Countryman, also built by BMW. The F45/F46 are the first front-wheel drive vehicles sold under the BMW marque, designed to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz B-Class. Sales commenced in November 2014. Fairchild 45
The Fairchild Model 45 was a 1930s American five-seat cabin monoplane aircraft designed and built by Fairchild. Development During 1934 the Fairchild company designed a business or executive aircraft with five seats, designated the Model 45. It first flew on 31 May 1935. The Model 45 was a low-wing cantilever monoplane with a conventional cantilever tail unit and a retractable tailwheel landing gear. The aircraft was powered by a 225 hp (168 kW) Jacobs L-4 radial engine and had a luxury five-seat interior as standard. Flight testing showed that the aircraft performed well, although it was described as sedate. The company predicted that the Model 45 would have only limited market appeal in that form, therefore only the prototype was built. North Palm Beach County Airport , also known as North County Airport, is an uncontrolled (non-towered) general aviation airport located northwest of West Palm Beach off the Bee Line Highway in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The airport is owned by Palm Beach County and operated by the Palm Beach County Airports Department. The field is in proximity to, and shares services with, William P.
