''Emotion'' (stylized as ''E•MO•TION'') is the third studio album by Canadian singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen. It was released on June 24, 2015, in Japan and on August 21, 2015, worldwide through 604, School Boy, and Interscope Records. Looking to transition from the bubblegum pop-oriented nature of her second studio album, ''Kiss'' (2012), Jepsen found inspiration in 1980s music and alternative styles. She enlisted a team of mainstream and indie collaborators, including Sia, Mattman & Robin, Dev Hynes, Ariel Rechtshaid, Rostam Batmanglij, Greg Kurstin, and Peter Svensson of the Cardigans, culminating in a largely synth-pop-centric effort. Christopher John Baran is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. He is a founding member of Woolf and the Wondershow and cowriter, creator, and producer of their Los Angeles future theater musical CAGES in which he plays the lead character Woolf. It was written by Jepsen, Mattman & Robin, Oscar Holter, Shellback, and Noonie Bao and produced by Mattman & Robin and Shellback. The track premiered on Spanish radio station Hits FM on 17 June 2015 and was released as the album's second official single on 17 July 2015. Ajay Bhattacharyya, known professionally as Stint, is a Canadian record producer and songwriter. He has produced songs for Gallant, MØ, Carly Rae Jepsen, Demi Lovato, NAO and Zara Larsson. ''Emotion Remixed +'' (stylized as ''E•MO•TION REMIXED +'', symbol read as "plus") is the second remix album by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, released through Universal Music Japan on March 18, 2016. In the vein of '' Kiss: the Remix'', both Japan exclusives, ''Emotion'' ''Remixed +'' compiles eight remixes of singles released from her third studio album ''Emotion'' (2015), and two new tracks: " First Time" and "Fever". The compilation features contributions by Bleachers, the Knocks and a cohort of collaborators from her ''Emotion'' sessions. "First Time" was given a limited promotional release. The Zolas
The Zolas are a Canadian indie rock band based in Vancouver and are signed to Light Organ Records. The band was formed by duo Zachary Gray (vocals/guitar) and Tom Dobrzanski (piano/keyboards/backing vocals), with various session musicians supporting them live and on record. The group has since expanded, adding Dwight Abell (bass/backing vocals) and Cody Hiles (drums/backing vocals) permanently to their lineup in 2015.
