Emotion Remixed
''Emotion Remixed +'' (stylized as ''E•MO•TION REMIXED +'', symbol read as "plus") is the second remix album by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, released through Universal Music Japan on March 18, 2016. In the vein of '' Kiss: the Remix'', both Japan exclusives, ''Emotion'' ''Remixed +'' compiles eight remixes of singles released from her third studio album '' Emotion'' (2015), and two new tracks: " First Time" and "Fever". The compilation features contributions by Bleachers, the Knocks and a cohort of collaborators from her ''Emotion'' sessions. "First Time" was given a limited promotional release. The new songs were subsequently included on Jepsen's companion release '' Emotion: Side B'' (2016); and were given a second Japanese release through the country's exclusive reissue of the EP in 2017. Carly Rae Jepsen (born November 21, 1985) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. After studying musical theatre for most of her school life and while in university, Jepsen garnered mainstream attention after placing third on the fifth season of ''Canadian Idol'' in 2007. In 2008, Jepsen released her folk music-influenced debut studio album, ''Tug of War'', exclusively in Canada before it was internationally released in 2011. It was written by Jepsen, Mattman & Robin, Oscar Holter, Shellback, and Noonie Bao and produced by Mattman & Robin and Shellback. The track premiered on Spanish radio station Hits FM on 17 June 2015 and was released as the album's second official single on 17 July 2015. "Run Away with Me" was accompanied by a DIY music video filmed by Jepsen's then-partner David Kalani Larkins in Paris, Tokyo and New York City, which also premiered in July 2015.
