Expeditie Robinson 2006
''Expeditie Robinson: 2006'', was the eighth Dutch/Belgian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries. This season began airing on August 28, 2006 and concluded on November 20, 2006. The major twist this season was that the tribes were initially divided up by gender with one "All-Star" contestant joining each tribe. These two All-Stars were, Klaar Lippe and Robin Ibens. Bazel
Bazel is a village in Belgium, in the municipality of Kruibeke in the province of East Flanders. The village is home to the Wissekerke Castle. The municipality of Bazel merged into Kruibeke in 1977. Overview The parish church was founded in the early 10th century. The village was located on the medieval road from Lille to Antwerp. From 1640, the village started develop. The Wissekerke Castle is located in the village. The castle originates from the 10th century, however it burnt down, and was rebuilt in the 15th century. Hoofddorp
Hoofddorp (; ) is the main town of the Haarlemmermeer municipality in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. In 2021, the population was 77,885. The town was founded in 1853, immediately after the Haarlemmermeer had been drained. History After the draining of the Haarlemmermeer, two villages, Kruisdorp (Crossvillage) and Venneperdorp (Vennepervillage), were founded in the centre of the polder. In 1868 they were renamed to Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep respectively. Hoofddorp became more prosperous than Nieuw-Vennep, and it rapidly became the most important place of the district. Temse
Temse (; french: Tamise ) is a municipality in East Flanders, Belgium. The name Temse is derived from the Gallo-Roman/Gaul Tamisiacum or Tamasiacum. This is also reflected in the French name for the town, Tamise. The main sights include the Church of Our Lady, whose steeple was designed by the famous sculptor Adriaan Nijs, who died in Temse, and who also sculpted the wooden pulpit. Inside the church the relics of Amalberga of Temse are venerated. Close by stands the old "Gemeentehuis" (town hall), built in Flemish Eclectic style, housing a carillon in its main tower. Borne (; Tweants: ''Boorn'') is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the region of Twente. Its inhabitants also have the nickname ''Melbuul'' (flourbag in Twentsch). Maasmechelen (; li, Mechele) is a municipality located on the Meuse in the Belgian province of Limburg. Zwolle () is a city and municipality in the Northeastern Netherlands. Harelbeke (; vls, Oarlbeke) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Harelbeke proper and the towns of Bavikhove and Hulste. Brasschaat
Brasschaat () is a municipality located in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium, and in the Flemish province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Brasschaat proper. In November 2006, Brasschaat won the LivCom-Award 2006 for the most livable municipality in the world. History Origins The history of Brasschaat started with Celtic settlements. The Gallic tribe of the Belgae displaced them and were in turn conquered by the Romans, who built a major road in the area.
