Exaltasamba
Exaltasamba is a Brazilian pagode music group, formed in 1982 in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo. The group began simply playing gigs in restaurants and bars. They later began writing their own songs, eventually releasing an album, "Eterno Amanhecer" in 1992. However, it wasn't until 1996 that they truly became successful, with their 1996 and 1997 albums, "Luz do Desejo and "Desliga e Vem" each going Double Platinum. They released a Live Album with songs handpicked by their fans via E-Mail. In 2003, one of their best known Vocalists, Thiaguinho, joined the group. They continued to release albums. Their 25th Anniversary was in 2010, and they had written new material to perform on this show. The year thereafter, Thiaguinho announced that he planned on leaving the group. They subsequently announced their disbandment after 25 years as a band. Thiaguinho (singer)
Thiago André Barbosa better known as Thiaguinho ( Presidente Prudente – São Paulo – Brazil, 11 March 1983), is a pagode singer, composer and presenter. He first gained notoriety for participating in the talent show Fama in 2002 and became famous for being a member of the musical group Exaltasamba from 2003 to 2012. In 2012, he released his first solo album and live album, "''Ousadia & Alegria''", selling more than 80,000 copies and earning him a Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Samba/Pagode Album category. He released his second solo album, "''Outro Dia, Outra História''", in 2014 which sold 40,000 copies and earned a gold record certificate. Péricles (singer)
Péricles Aparecido Fonseca de Faria, also known as only Péricles, or Periclão (born 22 July 1969), is a singer, composer and Brazilian instrumentist of pagode, a subgenre of samba. He was the vocalist of Exaltasamba from the band's beginnings until late February 2012, when he decided to follow a solo career. Biography Péricles is the former vocalist of Exaltasamba. He also played multiple instruments with the band and is a composer. Before his musical career, he worked as a class inspector in two state schools and for a car manufacturer in São Bernardo do Campo. Radar Records was a UK-based record label formed in late 1977 by Martin Davis (managing director) who had previously worked at United Artists Records, and Andrew Lauder, who had previously been head of A&R at the UK divisions of Liberty Records and United Artists.
