''Evolution of a Filipino Family'' () is a Filipino language, Filipino experimental film co-produced, edited, written and directed by Lav Diaz. At 643 minutes (10 hours and 43 minutes), it is among list of longest films, the longest films ever made. It earned Diaz international critical acclaim and is noted for introducing many of Diaz' cinematic trademarks. The film won Best Picture and Best Production Design at the Gawad Urian. Lavrente Indico Anciro Diaz (born December 30, 1958) is a Filipino independent filmmaker and former film critic. Frequently known as one of the key members of the slow cinema movement, having made several of the list of longest films, longest narrative films on record. Diaz is one of the most critically acclaimed contemporary Filipino filmmakers. Diaz started making films in the late 1990s.
