Evgeny Gleizerov
Evgeny Gleizerov (; born March 20, 1963) is a Russian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1993. Together with 43 other Russian chess players, Gleizerov signed an open letter to Russian president Vladimir Putin, protesting against the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and expressing solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Chess career In 2001 Gleizerov tied for 1st–3rd places with Stanislav Voitsekhovsky and Michał Krasenkow at Barlinek. The next year he tied for 1st–3rd in the Masters tournament of the 12th Abu Dhabi Chess Festival with Mikhail Ulibin, who won on tiebreak score, and Shukhrat Safin. He tied for 3rd–6th with Dávid Bérczes, Yuriy Kuzubov and Pia Cramling in the Rilton Cup 2008/2009. He came first at Parla 2009. Bryansk ( rus, Брянск, p=brʲansk) is a city and the administrative center of Bryansk Oblast, Russia, situated on the River Desna, southwest of Moscow. Sergei Tiviakov (russian: Серге́й Тивяков; born 14 February 1973) is a Russian–Dutch chess grandmaster. He is a three-time Dutch Champion and was European Champion in 2008. Chess career Tiviakov won the World Under-18 Championship in 1990 in Singapore. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1991. Tiviakov won the Dutch Chess Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2018. Bartłomiej Heberla (born 19 June 1985) is a Polish chess player who holds the FIDE title of Grandmaster. As of January 2021, he was ranked 15th among all Polish players. Chess career Bartłomiej Heberla was the Polish U16 champion in 2001. He is a multiple medalist of the Polish Junior Chess Championship: apart from this gold medal in 2001 (U16), he captured 1999 (U14), 2000 (U16), 2005 (U20) – three silver, and 2003 (U20) – bronze. Lázaro Bruzón Batista (born 2 May 1982 in Holguín) is a Cuban-American chess grandmaster. He is a former World Junior Champion, two-times American Continental champion, two-time Iberoamerican champion and five-time Cuban champion.
