"Every Time I Think of You" is a song written by Jack Conrad and Ray Kennedy and released in December 1978 as the lead single from The Babys' third studio album ''Head First''; John Waite provided lead vocals, featuring female vocals by Myrna Matthews. The track was a worldwide hit, and became their last top 20 in the United States. Original version Released as the lead single from the ''Head First'' album in late December 1978, "Every Time I Think of You" ascended to a ''Billboard'' Hot 100 peak of number 13 in April 1979. The Babys
The Babys are a British rock group best known for their songs " Isn't It Time" and "Every Time I Think of You". Both songs were composed by Jack Conrad and Ray Kennedy, and each reached No. 13 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 8 on the '' Cashbox'' chart in the late 1970s. The original Babys line-up consisted of founding member keyboardist/guitarist Michael Corby, and, in order of joining the group, vocalist/bassist John Waite, drummer Tony Brock, and guitarist Wally Stocker. The group signed a contract with Chrysalis Records that was the highest ever for a new music act at the time. Two studio albums, ''The Babys'' and ''Broken Heart'', were well received. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. History On January 2, 1965, the first Top 40 was compiled, with its first #1 hit "''I Feel Fine''" by The Beatles. In September 1974, the Stichting Nederlandse Top 40 bought the Top 40 and named it ''De Nederlandse Top 40''. ''Get Ready!'' is the debut studio album by Belgian/Dutch Eurodance group 2 Unlimited. The album includes 2 Unlimited's breakthrough worldwide hit single "Get Ready for This". Release and reception The album reached #12 in the Netherlands and #37 in the UK Albums Chart. Despite the moderate chart success, 2 Unlimited was one of the few bands to gain access to the difficult American market. Although peaking at just #197 on the US ''Billboard'' 200, the album still proved consistent in sales, eventually going Gold for sales in excess of 500,000. Lucie Silvas (born Lucie Joanne Silverman, 4 September 1977) is a British singer-songwriter. Early life Born in Kingston upon Thames, England, her father is from New Zealand and is of Jewish descent; and her mother is Scottish and is Christian. Silvas has two sisters, Mia (who has performed backing vocals for her), and Nikki. Her parents were also big music lovers and Silvas has stated this inspired her career, besides the fact that her mother was an opera singer and wanted to pursue a career in music herself. Silvas learned to play piano at the age of 5, and had written her first song by age 10. She relocated many times between her parents' native countries as well as England. Her family moved to Thames Ditton, Surrey, England, when she was 13. She entered a Jewish Care Young Performer competition and came in third when she was 14.
