Evelyn Nwabuoku
Evelyn Nwabuoku (born 14 November 1985) is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a midfielder for En Avant de Guingamp in the French Division 1 Féminine and the Nigeria women's national football team and she is the captain of the national side. Nwabuoku played previously for BIIK Kazygurt in the Kazakhstani women's football championship and both Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels in the Nigerian Women's Championship. Club career Nwabuoku played in the Nigerian Women's Championship for Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels before moving to BIIK Kazygurt of the Kazakhstani women's football championship in 2015. She subsequently moved to French side En Avant de Guingamp, where she joined up with her sister, and fellow Nigerian international Desire Oparanozie. She helped Nwabuoku with the initial language difficulties and to settle in the area. The AITEO Cup (formerly Women Challenge Cup and Federations Cup) is a cup competition in Nigeria. Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt have won the most titles. The tournament along with Nigeria Women Premier League are the two recognized competition for women football organized by the Nigeria Football Federation. The finals are usually played at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos State. In June 2017, the Nigeria Football Federation finalized a five-year deal with AITEO Group for the naming rights of the competition. The deal will have the winners and runnerup get ₦10,000,000 and ₦5,000,000 respectively annually. The 2012 African Women's Championship was a football competition, which was organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (abbreviated as AFCON 2017 or CAN 2017), known as the Total 2017 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
