Evans Owusu
Evans Owusu (born 8 September 1997) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as centre-back. He previously played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Liberty Professionals and Gold Stars. Career Owusu started his career with Charity Stars playing for the club in the Ghana Division Two League. In August 2018, he secured a deal to Kumasi-based club Asante Kotoko. He immediately established himself as the club's starting left-back under then head coach C.K. Akunnor. He helped played 9 matches and scored a goal as they won the 2019 GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition and qualified for the 2019–20 CAF Champions League. He however lost his position to Ibrahim Imoro in the 2019–20 season and struggled to break into the starting line-up after the appointment of Maxwell Konadu. 2020–21 Ghana Premier League
The 2020–21 Ghana Premier League is the 65th season of top professional association football league in Ghana. The season started on 14 November 2020. 18 teams are competing in the league with each club playing each other twice, home and away, with the three clubs at the bottom of the league relegated to the Division One League. Season overview With 18 clubs participating in the league, this marked the second time since 1980 that more than 16 clubs competed in the top division of Ghanaian football. The GFA announced that the league was suspended on 15 March 2020, in the middle of match-week 15, because of the global COVID-19 pandemic. On 31 May, the league was further suspended until at least 31 June. On 30 June, the FA had a meeting and cancelled the league due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Karela United FC is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Aiyinase, Ellembele District, Western Region. The club competed in the 2019 Ghanaian Normalisation Cup Competition. Karela plays their home matches at the CAM Park. History The club was founded on Tuesday October 1, 2013, when the former Metropolitan Sporting Club changed its name to Karela United Football Club.
