Eurovision Young Musicians 2020
The Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 was the twentieth edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians. It took place at the Corum in Montpellier on 23 July 2022. The live show was hosted by French playwright Judith Chaine and Belgian radio presenter Vincent Delbushaye, with the Montpellier Occitanie National Opera Orchestra conducted by Pierre Dumoussaud. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), this edition was co-hosted by French broadcasters Radio France and France Télévisions, as part of a summer series of music events called Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier. Musicians representing nine countries with EBU membership participated in the contest, with Austria and host country France returning. Eleven countries, namely Albania, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Malta, Russia, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain and the United Kingdom, decided to not participate in this edition after having taken part in the previous contest in 2018. Corum (Montpellier)
Montpellier's Corum is a building that houses both a conference centre and an opera house (Opéra Berlioz), and is located in the centre of the city in southern France. It was designed by Claude Vasconi and opened to the public in 1988. The building forms the visual closing of the ''Esplanade'' seen from the ''Place de la Comédie''. It is covered in slabs of pink marble. The high costs of the building were subject of political debate in the 1980s, mostly directed against then-mayor Georges Frêche. The Conference Center has 6000 m² of exhibition space. Fête De La Musique
The Fête de la Musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June. On Music Day, citizens and residents are urged to play music outside in their neighborhoods or in public spaces and parks. Free concerts are also organized, where musicians play for fun and not for payment. Eurovision Young Dancers 2003
The Eurovision Young Dancers 2003 was the tenth edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers, held at the Stadsschouwburg Theatre in Amsterdam, Netherlands between 29 June and 4 July 2003. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Nederlandse Programma Stichting (NPS), dancers from ten countries participated in the televised final. A total of seventeen countries took part in the competition therefore a semi-final was held a few days before at the same venue. and made their début while , and decided not to participate. Croatia In The Eurovision Young Musicians
Croatia has participated in the biennial classical music competition Eurovision Young Musicians 10 times since its debut in 1994. On 8 July 2019, it was announced by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) that Croatian broadcaster HRT would host the 20th edition of the contest in Zagreb on 21 June 2020. However, on 18 March 2020, it was announced that the event had been postponed indefinitely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. In February 2022, it was confirmed that Croatia would not host this edition of the contest. Although initially not included on the list of participants on 21 February 2022, it was later revealed in June that Croatia would remain in the contest after all. The Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 was the nineteenth edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians contest. It was hosted by the United Kingdom, for the first time since the inaugural contest in . This edition was a co-production between the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Edinburgh International Festival and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as host broadcaster.
