European Under-19 Individual Speedway Championship
The European Under-19 Individual Speedway Championship is an annual speedway event organised by FIM Europe (formerly the European Motorcycle Union (UEM)) since 1998. Championship history The European Under-19 Championship was inaugurated in 1998, under the control of the European Motorcycle Union (UEM). Between 2013 and 2020, it was known as the European Under-21 Individual Speedway Championship The European Under-21 Individual Speedway Championship was an annual Motorcycle speedway, speedway event organised by FIM Europe (formerly the Union Européenne de Motocyclisme, European Motorcycle Union (UEM)) from 1977 to 1988 and again from ..., when it was expanded to include riders up to the age of 21 years of age. Pocking
Pocking (; bar, label=Central Bavarian, Bocking) is a town in the district of Passau, in Lower Bavaria, Germany. It is situated about 30 km south-west of Passau, close to the Austrian border. History A Roman settlement was founded in the area of Pocking as early as the 1st century AD. The '' Bajuwaren tribe'' settled around Pocking in the 6th century AD. In 820 AD Pocking was first mentioned in a historic document. Since 1824 Pocking forms its own political community and in 1971 it was granted the privileges of a town. During the Nazi regime a side camp of the Flossenbürg concentration camp was set up in Pocking. After World War II the second largest DP camp ("displaced persons") in Germany was located in Pocking. In 1946 the camp housed 7,645 people, mostly of Jewish heritage. It was disbanded in 1949. The Rottal area to which Pocking belongs is famous for its horse breeding. Fredrik Lindgren (speedway Rider)
Jan Fredrik Tobias (Freddie) Lindgren (born 15 September 1985) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. He has twice won the bronze medal at the Speedway World Championship and won the world team championships in 2015. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden. Lindgren's father Tommy was a speedway rider before him, and his younger brother Ludvig also rides. Lindgren first appeared for Wolverhampton Wolves during the 2003 season as the team struggled with injuries. At the age of just 17, Freddie made his debut for the team and impressed enough to be brought back the following season when again injuries hit the club. In 2005, he moved over to full-time and averaged 7.44 for Wolves in his debut full season and in 2006 he improved to average 8.12. He began his career in the United Kingdom with the Trelawny Tigers in 2003 before moving to the Reading Racers in 2004 when the Tigers closed.
