The European Olympic Committees is an organisation based in Rome, Italy, consisting of 50 National Olympic Committees from the continent of Europe.EOC members include transcontinental countries Turkish Olympic Committee, Turkey and Russian Olympic Committee, the Russian Federation, as well as Olympic Committee of Israel, Israel, Cyprus Olympic Committee, Cyprus, National Olympic Committee of the Azerbaijani Republic, Azerbaijan, Armenian Olympic Committee, Armenia and Georgian National Olympic Committee, Georgia which are geographically in Asia but due to political-cultural reasons are often assigned to Europe. Among other duties, the EOC organizes three major multi-sport events. These are the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Games of the Small States of Europe and the European Games. The European Games is a continental multi-sport event in the Olympic Games, Olympic tradition contested by sportsperson, athletes from European nations and several European Olympic Committees#Notes, transcontinental countries.
