Maurizio Buscaglia (born 9 April 1969) is an Italian professional basketball coach. He is the current head coach of Hapoel Eilat of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Coaching career After spending years coaching the youth teams of two clubs in Perugia, and two more in Bologna, Buscaglia was offered the head coach role for the 1996–97 season, with Piove di Sacco. For the 2001–02 season, he began as the assistant coach of Bears Mestre in the Serie B (Italian 3rd Division), and later he was named the head coach of the team. 2015–16 Eurocup Basketball
The 2015–16 Eurocup Basketball season was the 14th season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament, and the eighth season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the Eurocup. The 2016 Eurocup Finals were played between Galatasaray Odeabank and SIG Strasbourg, and won by Galatasaray, which was their first title in a European-wide competition. As the winners of the 2015–16 Eurocup Basketball competition, Galatasaray qualified for the European top-tier level 2016–17 EuroLeague. Club Baloncesto Gran Canaria – Claret, S.A.D., is a professional basketball club based in Las Palmas, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB. Their home arena is the Gran Canaria Arena. From 2012 until 2021, they have been sponsored by Herbalife. History CB Gran Canaria was founded inside Claret School and for many years played under that denomination. Following a successful period in school competitions, a senior team was created and integrated on the Spanish Second Division. Alejandro 'Aíto' García Reneses (born 20 December 1946 in Madrid, Spain), usually known as just Aíto, is a Spanish former professional basketball coach and former player. As a head coach, as well as leading Spain's national team to Olympic silver, he has won nine Spanish Liga ACB titles, all of them with FC Barcelona. He has won four European competitions - the FIBA Korać Cup (twice) and FIBA Saporta Cup with FC Barcelona, and the FIBA EuroChallenge and EuroCup with Joventut Badalona. 2014–15 Eurocup Basketball
The 2014–15 Eurocup Basketball season was the 13th edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one level below the EuroLeague. Khimki won the competition, after beating Herbalife Gran Canaria in the Finals, and earned a spot in the regular season of the 2015–16 Euroleague. Competition format The competition format was the same as in the 2013–14 season, but reducing the Regular Season. For this year 36 teams joined this first stage and were divided into two conferences. The Regular Season featured six groups of six teams each one, where the four best teams qualified to the Last 32 stage with the eight teams that do not qualify to the 2014–15 Euroleague Top 16. BC UNICS (russian: БК УНИКС) is a professional basketball club in Kazan, Russia, that plays in the VTB United League, and formerly played in the EuroLeague.
