Eugene Galeković
Eugen Josip Galekovic ( ; hr, Eugen Josip Galeković, ; born 12 June 1981) is an Australian former professional association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He is the current goalkeeper coach for Adelaide United FC, Adelaide United. Biography Club career Galekovic's junior football was mostly played at Chelsea Hajduk in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. Adelaide United Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Career Early career Theoklitos began his career as a young lad playing in the Victorian Premier League (VPL) for Bulleen Zebras. He was then picked up by South Melbourne FC but failed to make an impact ahead of number 1 Eugene Galekovic. After 5 appearances for Hellas, he was sold to the Football Kingz FC for the 2001–2002 season where he became a fan favourite making 20 appearances in the National Soccer League. During his time with the Kingz he was scouted by Blackpool FC who signed him in 2002. Due to injury he only played in three games, only two of which counted as full representation for Blackpool. Dean Anastasiadis
Dean Anastasiadis (born 6 June 1970 in Melbourne, Australia) is a former Australian football (soccer) player. Biography A goalkeeper, he played for many years at a variety of clubs in the National Soccer League. This included being part of the 2000–01 championship side at Wollongong Wolves, and the 1997–98 Grand Final runner up Carlton SC side, of whom he is also the games record holder. On both occasions he played and was scored against by his brother John Anastasiadis. He retired at the end of 2008. Since then Anastasiadis has been coaching in the Victorian Premier League, and various State levels specializing in goalkeeper training. Falcons 2000 Soccer Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in the regional Victorian city of Morwell. Founded in 1961 by the local Italian community, the club has participated in the Victorian state league system at multiple levels, and in the defunct National Soccer League. National Soccer League
The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association. The NSL, the A-League's predecessor, spanned 28 seasons from its inception in 1977 until its demise in 2004, when it was succeeded by the A-League competition run by Football Federation Australia, the successor to the Australian Soccer Association.
