Eternal (group)
Eternal were a British R&B girl group formed in 1992, with the line-up consisting of Easther Bennett and her older sister Vernie Bennett, with Kéllé Bryan and her friend and classmate Louise Redknapp, who were also recruited into the group by the label. The group became an international success, selling around 10 million records worldwide. Louise Redknapp left the group before the release of their second album to focus on her solo career with the same label. Kéllé Bryan left the group under undisclosed circumstances in 1998. Sisters Easther Bennett and Vernie Bennett were the only members left when they disbanded in 2000. Eternal made a brief comeback in 2013, with Kéllé Bryan returning to the group, only for the group to disband once again in 2014. They were considered the UK's answer to the American girl group En Vogue. Louise Redknapp
Louise Elizabeth Redknapp (née Nurding, born 4 November 1974) is an English singer, songwriter and media personality. She was a member of Eternal, an R&B girl group which debuted in 1993 with their quadruple-platinum studio album '' Always & Forever''. In 1995, she departed from the group for a solo career, in which she released the albums ''Naked'' (1996), '' Woman in Me'' (1997) and '' Elbow Beach'' (2000). Aside from music, Louise has presented several television shows and was a judge on the UK version of ''So You Think You Can Dance''. She was married to the English former footballer Jamie Redknapp. In 2016, Louise reached the final in the fourteenth series of BBC One's ''Strictly Come Dancing''. In January 2020 following a 17-year hiatus from recording Redknapp released '' Heavy Love'' to critical acclaim. "Just a Step from Heaven" is a song by British girl group Eternal, released as the third single from their debut album, '' Always & Forever'' (1993). Released on 18 April 1994 by EMI and 1st Avenue, the single entered at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart on 24 April and climbed to its peak of number eight three weeks later. The single spent 11 weeks on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached the top 30 in Ireland and New Zealand and experienced minimal success in North America. The music video for "Just a Step from Heaven" was directed by Matthew Rolston. Critical reception Jon O'Brien from AllMusic complimented the song as an example of "perfect R&B-infused pop". First Avenue Records (also 1st Avenue) was a British record label and publishing company. The publishing side of the company was acquired by BMG Music Publishing in 2002. After Universal Music Publishing's acquisition of BMG Music Publishing in 2004, First Avenue Music then belonged to Universal Music Publishing. The brains behind First Avenue Records were Oliver Smallman and Denis Ingoldsby. They handled artist management, signed and developed acts, pretty much acting as A&R for record labels. The Big Reunion
''The Big Reunion'' is a British reality-documentary series that began airing on ITV2 on 31 January 2013. The show featured chart-topping bands who were big in the UK pop music scene between the 1990s and early 2000s, and the programme followed them as they reunited for the first time in a decade and went through their two weeks of intensive rehearsals before finally stepping back on stage for a comeback performance. The first series featured Five, 911, Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, Blue, Honeyz and Liberty X. Another mini-series, entitled ''The Big Reunion: On Tour'', aired from 5–19 September 2013. "Someday" is a song from Disney's 1996 animated feature film, ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame''. It was written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz and originally recorded by American singer and actress Heidi Mollenhauer in her film role as the singing voice of Esmeralda. It was one of three recordings, along with "In a Place of Miracles" and "As Long as There's a Moon", that were discarded during the storyboarding process to be replaced by " God Help the Outcasts."
