The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA), previously the Swaziland Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association, (IOC code: SWZ) is the National Olympic Committee representing Eswatini. It was created in 1968 and officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee in 1972. Following the country's name change in April 2018, the Swaziland Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association changed its name to the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association. Mbabane
Mbabane (; ss, ÉMbábáne, ) is a city in Eswatini (previously called Swaziland), and is one of the two capitals (along with Lobamba), serving as the executive capital. With an estimated population of 94,874 (2010), it is located on the Mbabane River and its tributary the Polinjane River in the Mdzimba Mountains. It is located in the Hhohho Region, of which it is also the capital. The average elevation of the city is 1,243 meters. It lies on the MR3 road. History The town grew after the nation's administrative centre moved from Bremersdorp (now called Manzini) in 1902. It derives its name from a chief, Mbabane Kunene, who lived in the area when British settlers arrived. Eswatini first participated at the Olympic Games in 1972 (as Swaziland). They missed the next two games but returned for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and have appeared in all the games since then.
